I don't consider myself a political person, in fact, politics usually does not interest me. I am one of those people who really doesn't pay a whole lot of attention when it comes to politics. But, lately, my ears have perked up and I have been concerned with the way our nation is being run. Government spending has totally gone nuts. I'm all for legitimate spending to help out the needy, the sick, the orphans, etc., but for the hard working American people to have their money taken from them and used to bail out fat cats and support those who just choose not to work, to me, that is a disgrace! Out of concern for our nation, I have written a song, "We, the People of America" that I hope will help give a voice to those of us who are dissatisfied and aren't afraid to say it. This nation belongs to the American people, and we have to stand up for what we believe in and not sit idly by.  I read recently that our president had passed a bill setting aside over $20 million to bring Hamas Palestinians to live in America. This is TOTALLY ABSURD, since we can't even provide jobs for our own citizens! If our congress is so STAR STRUCK that they can't bother to read the bills before they vote to pass them, then it is time for us, the American people, to tell them in NO UNCERTAIN TERMS that they are supposed to be representing us and the best interests of our people! If our government officials choose not to do this, then they need to find other work and let somebody who really cares about America and its' people take over for them.

 If we do not SPEAK OUT now, and TAKE ACTION, our freedoms and rights will disappear right under our noses. I'm sure that is what BIG government is hoping.

 I am TIRED of the media being biased and only stating one side. It is time that the majority of the good people of America is shown in a TRUE LIGHT!

 And I am bothered by the fact that president Obama said that one of the strengths of our nation is that we no longer consider ourselves a Christian nation... I wonder who he consulted when he came up with this erronious fact?

 It seems that most of what he has done since he got in office is waste our money on frivolous things and do whatever he can to make our nation look bad. Sure, he is pleasant looking, and is very charming, but his underlying focus seems to be to bring America down, turn it into a socialist state and take over....I heard Barbara Walters say on THE VIEW the other morning that the president had been asked if he wanted to take over the country, and he replied by saying that he had too much to do already with the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. Did she REALLY think he would admit to wanting to take over the nation if that is what he had in mind?
